 The Japanese players said they were inspired by Saudi Arabia’s shock victory over Argentina on Tuesday, when they sparked yet another massive World Cup upset with their massive murder of Germany in Doha.

The Japanese side had seen the Saudis come from 1-0 to beat the mighty Messi and co, then did exactly the same as they humiliated Hansi Flick’s men with two late goals.

Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma called it the greatest day of his life, adding: ‘This moment was incredible for the team and for me.
